How to solve today’s Wordle.
Sorry, would you look at the date? It’s February 26th already?!? On Wednesday we will have to turn the calendars forward again. March is getting closer and thankfully spring is coming.
In fact, March 20 is the first day of spring, which is just over three weeks away. The three feet of snow in my yard makes it hard to wrap my brain around that. It reminds me of this scene from the great Bill Murray Groundhog Day:
“It will be cold, it will be gray, and it will last you for the rest of your life . . .”
Yes, that’s fine! Snow in June this year, folks! I’m calling him. One year less snow here I went for a walk on a sunny day in May, but I chose a trail that went quite high up the mountain. I found myself – in shorts at least – climbing over huge drifts of snow and eventually descending a path completely covered in snow feet. I should have turned back!
In any case, that was dangerous. This Wordle is not being solved. Let us do it!

Today’s Wordle solution
Another pretty tough word, not because it’s rare or something we don’t come across on a regular basis, but because it’s very strange to have a ‘Y’ followed by an ‘S’. At least, I can’t think of many other words that have this pattern. Syria, probably, not a bad initial guess!
My initial guess put me down to 235 possibilities left, which isn’t ideal. Chairman just popped into my head and I typed it out without really giving it a second thought. From here, I had to get more vowels so I went with it robes, which left me with one more yellow box and still no vowels. I assumed there must be a ‘U’ somewhere so I tried spinning (it’s a great word) and narrowed it down to one more possibility: syrup. Yummy.
I can’t really huzzah today, though. I get zero points for guessing in four and Wordle Bot – guess unhip for the following guess slate –got the answer in just three. What a jerk face.
