Art and design fairs Collectables and Collectables: International Art Fair, Copenhagen Open House and (email protected) London is among the architecture and design events featured in this month’s Dezeen Events Guide.
Other events taking place in March include the MIPIM and New York Build Expo conferences and an exhibition entitled Mirror Mirror: Reflections on Design, which takes place at Chatsworth House.

Collect: International Art Fair
3 to 5 March, United Kingdom
Collect: International Art Fair is an annual event organized by the Craft Council, now in its 19th year.
The fair presents contemporary art and design items, including ceramics, resin, wood, paper, textiles, glass, lacquer, metal and jewellery, some created for the event.
40 international galleries and 400 artists and designers are presenting works at the fair, including 14 installations as part of the Collect Open platform.
The event will also feature a program of talks, including five keynotes and a series of informal booth talks.
The fair takes place online and at Somerset House in London, and invites artists, designers, consultants, interior professionals, curators and practitioners.
New York Construction Show
March 8 to 9, USA
The architecture and construction trade show New York Build Expo returns in 2023, hosting product launches and architecture services from more than 300 exhibitors.
The two-day event also presents a conference of talks and workshops from over 350 speakers, addressing topics such as the future of New York City, transportation infrastructure, design trends, net-zero projects and workspaces.
The 2023 New York Construction Expo is being held at the Javits Center in New York City.

Collectable
9 to 12 March, Belgium
A collectible Returns design fair, showcasing over 100 emerging and established designers.
The exhibition presents products from independent galleries, studios, architects and brands, curated with a focus on functionality.
Exhibitors are categorized as follows: Main, Custom, Architect/Designer, New Guard, Curatorial Section, Discussion and Special Projects.
It is the sixth edition of the fair this year, which takes place at Tour & Taxis in Brussels.

MIPIM
14 to 17 March, France
MIPIM is a four-day real estate fair held in Cannes, France, welcoming 20,000 attendees to the conference, exhibition, networking events and award ceremony.
The conference is held over nine stages, with more than 350 speakers addressing topics such as co-living spaces, decarbonisation, smart cities and waste management.
This year, MIPIM is hosting the Road to Zero exhibition, which explores renewable energy, recycling and carbon neutral projects.

Mirror Mirror: Reflections on Design at Chatsworth
18 March to 23 October, United Kingdom
Mirror Mirror: Reflections on Design at Chatsworth is an exhibition taking place at Chatsworth House in Bakewell, UK.
The exhibition presents 16 contemporary projects from artists and designers placed around the stately home to correlate with its design and history.
The pieces on display include furniture, ceramics, sculptures and silverware, reflecting the building’s architecture, interiors and items.
They are Joris Laarman, Chris Schanck, Andile Dyalvane, Faye Toogood, Ettore Sottsass, Formafantasma, Max Lamb, Jay Sae Jung Oh, Fernando Laposse, Ndidi Ekubia, Joseph Walsh, Michael Anastassiades, Ini Archibong, Samuel Ross, Najla El Zein and Wendell Castle the participating artists and designers.

22 to 23 March, United Kingdom
(email protected) is a traveling trade show held in 17 countries across Europe and North America.
In March, the trade show is held at the Truman Brewery in London, and hosts an exhibition, talks and networking opportunities.
The exhibition presents 200 architectural products including building systems, interior finishes and technology, while the program of talks addresses topics following the theme of Energy and Ecosystems.

Copenhagen Open House
25 to 26 March, Denmark
Architecture and design festival Open House hosts its first event in Denmark, welcoming visitors to explore buildings in Copenhagen.
The festival celebrates architecture and design in cities by opening private spaces to the public, and has chosen Copenhagen as its 2023 location as it serves as the 2023 World Capital of Architecture.
For two days, more than 10,000 attendees can look at 40 buildings in the city, including power stations, private houses and palaces.
